The kendo hall and the fighter's kit

North of the mats at every temple is the kendo hall. It follows ordinary rules: no honour notice, no gi, your own sword and gear. The kendoka who train there wear full kendo armour (men helmet, do, tare, kote) and carry bamboo shinai. They have twice the health of the dojo's hand-to-hand monks and every win trains Swordsmanship (and gives a little honour).

From Martial Arts level 60 the dojo outfitter also sells fighter's kit: bandannas (including the white rising-sun headband of the film), coloured hand wraps and foot wraps, MMA gloves, shin guards and knee guards. Each slot takes one piece; wear any mix you own; everyone sees it on the mats.

On the mats every kill pays Martial Arts XP and honour, and lifts you with +75% health recovery for ten seconds.
